Yard Dog Industries is a traveling shipyard project management and general contracting firm based in Costa Mesa, California, founded by a working shipyard project manager with a background spanning commercial and government yards, tug and barge construction and repair, and in-house yard management.

The company exists to bridge the gap between the people who plan a project and the people who build it. We work alongside vessel owners, naval architects, designers, and production crews — managing subcontractors, holding the schedule and the budget, and staying on the deckplates through repair, retrofit, and new-construction work.

We run lean on purpose. A tight core and a deep network of vetted trades — welders, coatings crews, marine chemists, divers, and surveyors — lets us scale up for a job and scale down when it's done, without carrying the overhead a traditional yard passes on to you. You get senior attention on the work instead of a layer of management between you and the deck.
