Project Correction & Regulatory Recovery
A new operation was building a seafood processing plant against a hard delivery deadline, and the project was off track. Yard Dog was brought in to correct course and ensure on-time completion. We assumed control of regulatory compliance for the retrofit — which had become a serious liability — and brought it back into order. From the deckplates, we managed a workforce of 300+ subcontractors running seven days a week, 12+ hours a day, across an eight-week push. The plant was delivered on time.
Owner's Representation · Scope-to-Delivery
When the client acquired the classic motor yacht Northwind to serve as a temporary clubhouse during a major facility renovation, Yard Dog worked directly with ownership to develop scope and budget. We coordinated the deadship tow to the shipyard and acted as owner's representative through haul-out and bottom paint. We then relocated the vessel to a private facility for a full exterior renovation — teak, hull and superstructure paint, woodwork, new built-in features, and updated safety equipment — before executing the return deadship tow on a compressed timeline.
Scaled Pilot · Mid-Project Site Relocation
After delivering several barge-based pilots for a carbon capture startup, Yard Dog was engaged to provide construction management for a pilot roughly 100x larger. With all major components already ordered, the site location changed mid-planning — by 7,000 miles. Working against a hard completion deadline, Yard Dog coordinated the construction, engineering, and logistics teams to deliver the project on time and on budget.
